Neil Jordan to direct 'Graveyard Book'

Oscar winning director Neil Jordan is going to direct the big-screen adaptation of Neil Gaiman's best selling novel "The Graveyard Book". He is also the co-writer of "MirrorMask" and "Beowulf".

Gaiman made the announcement on "The Today Show" during his press tour for ‘Coraline’, another one of his books to make the move to the silver screen. He said the film will be live-action one. Framestore, an FX production company of London, which recently worked for the film ‘Australia’, is going to work on effects for this flick.

‘The Graveyard Book’ is about a boy who is adopted by the occupants of a graveyard after the death of his parents.

Jordan’s directing films include "The Crying Game", "Interview with the Vampire" and "The Brave One." He also won the Oscar for best original screenplay for "The Crying Game”. Jordan is also currently working on "Ondine", starring Colin Farrell, a fantasy drama about a fisherman who discovers a mysterious woman in his fishing net.
