King of Pop Michael Jackson is no more



King of Pop Michael Jackson has died on Thursday, 25th June 26, 2009 at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles after suffering with a cardiac arrest. The 50 years old Jackson was pronounced dead soon after he arrived at an LA hospital.

According to reports, Jackson was not breathing when paramedics were called to his Los Angeles home this afternoon, June 25th. Paramedics at the scene performed CPR on the singer, who was then transported to the UCLA Medical Center. Jackson arrived at the hospital in a deep coma; attempts to resuscitate him failed as he was completely unresponsive. He was declared dead at 2:26 p.m.



Michael Jackson had been planning to start a series of comeback concerts in London and had been rehearsing in the Los Angeles area for the past two months. Promoters of the shows said in March that he had passed a lengthy physical examination. Jackson was rushed to the UCLA Medical Centre shortly before 12.30pm local time.

Michael Jackson was the most exciting performer of his generation, known for his feverish, crotch-grabbing dance moves and his high-pitched voice punctuated with squeals and titters. His single sequined glove, tight military-style jacket and aviator sunglasses were trademarks second only to his ever-changing, surgically altered appearance.

Michael Joseph Jackson born on 19th August, 1958 in Gary, Indiana, The seventh child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene at the age of 11 as a member of The Jackson 5 and began a solo career in 1971 while still a member of the group. After that he becomes the "King of Pop" in successive years. In the early 1980s, he became a dominant figure in popular music and the first African-American entertainer to amass a strong crossover following on MTV. Music videos such as "Beat It", "Billie Jean", ‘Thriller’, ‘Black or White’ and Scream’ made Jackson an enduring staple on MTV in the 1990s.

Michael Joseph Jackson was one of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. His other achievements include multiple Guinness World Records—including one for "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time"—13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles in his solo career—more than any other male artist in the Hot 100 era—and the sales of over 750 million albums worldwide.
